Footwear Care & Repair
Resoling
Vibram resoling, sole swaps and protective sole work for footwear worth keeping in rotation.
Overview
A new sole can change how a shoe wears, grips and lasts.
Resoling is not simply a matter of removing one sole and attaching another. The upper, midsole, welt or bonding surface, existing adhesives and intended use all influence what is suitable. We assess the construction before recommending the sole and method.
Services
Resoling, swaps and sole protection.
The process
From assessment to workshop.
Assess
Tell us about the footwear, its condition and what you would like us to look at.
Start an assessmentRecommend
We use the information you provide to identify an appropriate treatment or workshop review.
Workshop
Drop off in Manchester or send the footwear to us using the route selected in your assessment.
Workshop note
Resoling depends on the condition of the upper and existing construction.
Ageing foam, brittle components, damaged bonding surfaces and incompatible constructions can affect whether a resole is possible. Where additional preparation or repair is required before fitting a new sole, we will identify it during assessment.
