Not sure about the condition?
Some marks or changes in colour and texture aren't simply dirt. Previous cleaning, home treatments or washing can alter a material and affect how it responds to professional cleaning.
Previous cleaning or treatment
Washing machines, stain removers, oxygen-based cleaners, strong detergents and heavy scrubbing can sometimes leave residue, disturb colour or alter the feel of a material.
If the shoes are second-hand, previous treatments may also have been carried out by another owner without being obvious.
Fading & discolouration
A faded, dull or uneven appearance doesn't always mean the colour has permanently disappeared. Discolouration caused by dirt, residue, previous cleaning or general wear can often improve significantly with a deep clean.
Where the material itself has genuinely lost colour, cleaning alone may not fully restore it.
Changes in texture
Look for areas that have become stiff, rough, matted, unusually smooth, patchy or noticeably different from the surrounding material. These changes can indicate previous treatment or material damage rather than ordinary soiling.
You don't need to diagnose the problem yourself. You can continue with the assessment and we'll take the condition into account.
If you'd like us to look at something unusual before you proceed, leave your details and add one to four clear photographs.
Show us what you're seeing
Add one to four clear photographs of the area or material change you are unsure about.
Photographs and assessment information are retained for up to 90 days for review and service administration.
We'll take a closer look at the condition before confirming the final work.
Show us the pair
Add clear photographs so we can review the condition and confirm the work before checkout.
Photographs for repair assessment
Show us both sides of the pair, the area of damage and the sole or construction.
Photographs for sole work
Show us both sides, the sole and a clear construction detail so we can assess any preparation or repair needed before resoling.
Photographs for donor sole swap
Show us your shoe and sole alongside the donor shoe and donor sole so we can assess compatibility.
Photographs and assessment information are retained for up to 90 days for review and service administration.
We have what we need to review the work. Next, tell us how your shoes will reach our workshop and how you'd like them returned.
